The author

Born in Barcelona in 1984, Salva López is currently based between Barcelona and Menorca. After studying graphic design, López started working with documentary photography in 2007. His first project “Roig 26” – a reportage of his grandparents in Barcelona – was widely recognised and, since then, López started working for various international magazines, such as Monocle and the Wall Street Journal. He combines personal/travel photography with assignments, two genres that are linked by a particular style. After a career spanning more than 10 years, López now works for a large number of magazines, mostly in the sectors of industrial design architecture and interior design, and inspired by everyday life. His current work focuses on the photographic process as a form of contemplative practice.
