Giulia is the classic bergère armchair seen through the eyes of Gianfranco Frattini, an interpretation so modern that it became one of the historical models of Italian design from the 1960s.
Giulia is the re-edition of the famous model 877 by Gianfranco Frattini, dedicated to the wife of his great Master Gio Ponti. The softness that distinguishes the bergère armchair – wide and deep, with a high backrest and side headrests – is translated into sharp, geometric lines that define a continuous shell, with winged armrests, resting on the essential wooden frame. The structural elements thus become part of the furniture's aesthetics, as seen in the detail of the exposed wooden screws.
