EWE Studio
"All our pieces are handmade, with the intention of preserving and evolving Mexican ancient production techniques."

Founded in 2017 by gallerist Age Salajõe and designers Manuel Bañó and Héctor Esrawe, EWE is a design studio based in Mexico City, dedicated to research, experimentation, and the celebration of Mexico’s rich artisanal heritage, techniques, and materials.

"Our heritage is ancestral. We are a culture that has developed skills over many, many generations, which are now in the hands of contemporary artisans and have become essential to what EWE has achieved."

EWE Studio is dedicated to the conservation and evolution of Mexican craftsmanship heritage through sculptural and functional objects. By blending tradition and innovation, it explores different techniques, contrasting primitive textures with smooth surfaces, and works with natural materials to create pieces that speak to the senses.
Sculpture and functionality merge to rediscover the richness of Mexican craftsmanship and its meticulous manual processes, which leave traces on smooth surfaces, generating surprising sensory contrasts.
