Julep Armchair
Designed by Jonas Wagell

Jonas Wagell designs a sofa with full and generous volumes, which acquire an unexpected lightness thanks to the recessed base that almost seems to gently lift it off the ground. Shapes and proportions are perfectly balanced, enhanced by meticulous attention to detail, material choices, and the craftsmanship of the finishes. With its inviting lines, which beckon intimacy and rest, Julep fits comfortably in both contract and domestic spaces, either alone or alongside the matching armchair.

The simplicity and grandeur of 1950s avant-garde meet the more feminine and romantic side of the contemporary spirit. In 2018, Jonas Wagell designed a sofa for Tacchini where soft, enveloping shapes play with volumes and proportions: Julep is softness and intimacy in a warm embrace.

With Julep, Jonas Wagell reinterprets the elegance of 1950s avant-garde through generous volumes and soft lines, creating a collection that blends contemporary romanticism with visual lightness. “Tacchini represents a benchmark for me in Italian design: collaborating with them on Julep was an extraordinary creative journey, where form and comfort meet in perfect harmony.”
