Julep
Designed by Jonas Wagell

Jonas Wagell designs a sofa with full, generous volumes that acquire an unexpected lightness thanks to the recessed base, which seems to gently lift them off the ground. The shapes and proportions are perfectly balanced, enhanced by meticulous attention to detail, carefully selected materials, and masterful craftsmanship. With its inviting lines that encourage intimacy and relaxation, Julep fits seamlessly into both contract and residential spaces, whether on its own or alongside the armchair of the same name.

The simplicity and grandeur of 1950s avant-garde design meet the more feminine and romantic side of the contemporary spirit. In 2018, Jonas Wagell designed a sofa for Tacchini where soft, enveloping shapes play with volumes and proportions: Julep is softness and intimacy wrapped in a welcoming embrace.

With Julep, Jonas Wagell reinterprets the elegance of 1950s avant-garde through generous volumes and gentle lines, creating a collection that merges contemporary romanticism with visual lightness. “Tacchini represents a benchmark for me in Italian design: collaborating with them on Julep was an extraordinary creative journey, where form and comfort meet in perfect harmony.”
